Hey y'all!
I stole this really fun meme from but before I get into it I'm going to tell you about the books I've been reading lately.
Some of you wanted me to tell you what books I chose for English class and I have read two really good books so far! (with one still remaining)

The first one is named Crippen and I can't remember who wrote it. It's in some bag somewhere too so I can't check (too lazy) but it's a really nice suspense novel about a failed doctor named Hawley Harvey Crippen who enjoys his work in a rather disturbing way. His wife suddenly disappears and he tells everyone that she left to go back to America to tend to a sick relative and suddenly died overseas, but Cora's (the wife's) friend is very suspicious towards the whole thing and keeps nagging at the Scotland yard until they agree to send a detective there.... the rest I'm not going to spoil. It was a very lovely book though. You get to follow Hawley through his early years with a frantically religious mother, his encounter with his first and second wife, his life's disappointments and few joys. I definitely recommend it, even though it took a while until I got what was going on and started to think it was good.

The second one goes on my list of all-time favorites, that's how good it was. It's 'The Ruins' by a guy I think is named Scott Smith (again the book is out of reach)
It's about a group of friends on vacation in Mexico where they meet a group of Greeks and a German. Said German, Mathias, is there with his brother Heinrich who has run away to an archaeological dig in the jungle to be with a girl he met. Mathias convinces his new friends to follow him into the jungle in search for his brother. One of the Greeks, who calls himself Pablo, (they all go by fake names for some unapparent reason. There's Pablo, Don Quixote and Juan) also join them as the venture into the jungle. They find the dig, but they also found way more than what they wanted.
A freakishly good book that makes you question how you yourself would have acted, their actions and if you are as good of heart as you might think. If anyone's interested, btw, my Favorites immediately became Mathias and Eric! Stacy was cute and Jeff annoyed me.
